Chatham Tennis Club is home to tennis lovers from across the Municipality of Chatham Kent. We play at the Joe Carpenter Park at 287 McNaughton Ave. West in Chatham, sharing our parking lot and the surrounding green space with Tecumseh Public School. Our facilities include four lighted hard courts, (resurfaced at the end of the 2017 season) and a clubhouse with kitchen and washroom facilities for members.
FAMILIES LOVE US!!!! Tennis is a game for those from 3 to 93 (that’s the real age of our current senior member!). We offer seven different lesson camps for juniors from 5 to 17 (and we really can connect you to a program for 3-4-year-olds!). All of our instructors are focused on fun first and are Ontario Tennis Association Certified for any of your young Rafas, Rogers, or Djokers (if you’re new to tennis, no, that’s not a typo).
For moms and dads who are inspired by their kids to give tennis a try for the first time, this year we’re the first tennis club in Canada to offer the chance to start with Pop Tennis, an easy and fun way to get into your first rally. Of course, we’re happy to loan you what you need to get into the swing of it!
WE LOVE OUR MEMBERS!!!! Chatham Tennis Club members get exclusive access to the courts every Monday-Thursday evening from 7 to 10 pm, including access to the clubhouse. In addition, we have social tennis days, barbecues, and club parties.
And yeah, we also play competitive tennis, including singles and doubles tournaments for men, women and juniors, and a Singles Challenge Ladder. If you’re just getting started, we have adult group lessons, and when you’re ready to really pick up your game, we can help you find more advanced coaching.
